Fall is one of my favorite times for a vacation in general, but I especially love sailing on Disney Cruise Line in the Fall. On top of the amazing weather that the Fall usually brings, this is also the time of year where you can book a Halloween on the High Seas Sailing! This is Disney Cruise Line’s Halloween celebration at sea! If you have been wondering if a Halloween on the High Seas sailing is worth it, here is everything you need to know!
What is Halloween on the High Seas?
Halloween on the High Seas is a seasonal celebration that is offered on select sailings on Disney Cruise Line from late August through October. During these sailings the ship is full of festive decorations, exclusive entertainment, Halloween themed activities, and special character appearances. Don’t worry though, it still keeps all the Disney magic while being fun for cruisers of all ages! The best part is that this is included in your sailing!
What Exactly is Included?
The biggest question people seem to have is if the Halloween activities are included, or if they have to buy a separate ticket. The good news is that almost all of these Halloween activities are included in your cruise fare! Some of the special experiences you will enjoy during a Halloween on the High Seas sailing are: Halloween decorations throughout the ship, the iconic pumpkin tree, your favorite Disney characters dressed in their Halloween costumes, Mickey’s Mouse-querade party, a treat bag for guests, seasonal entertainment and movie showings, and specialty Halloween treats available for purchase!
Should we pack costumes?
Absolutely! All guests are encouraged to join the fun by dressing up for Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party! You’ll see everything from Disney Princesses and pirates to superheroes and classic Halloween Costumes. It doesn’t have to be a Disney costume but you will see a lot of those! There are guidelines for Halloween costumes, so just make sure you check Disney Cruise Line’s guidelines before you go!
Is Halloween On The High Seas Worth It?
If your family already loves Disney, I would say yes without hesitation! If this would be your family’s first Disney experience, I also think this would be an amazing first experience! You’re still getting everything that makes a Disney Cruise so special, Broadway style entertainment, rotational dining, incredible service, amazing kids clubs, and beautiful destinations! On this cruise you just get some extra seasonal magic that only happens for a few months each year!
