My Honest Thoughts on Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is one of my favorite moderate resorts, especially for families of five who want convenience without paying the deluxe-resort prices.

The resort is divided into five island-inspired sections: Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique, Trinidad and Aruba. Yes, it is a large resort, and that is probably the only complaint I hear. However, if your family doesn’t mind a little walking (which they shouldn’t, you’re in Disney!), I really don’t think the size is a deal-breaker. The grounds are beautiful, and because each section has its own bus stop, you’re never far from transportation to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom or Disney Springs.

The advantage here is the Disney Skyliner. Depending on your room location, you may be closer to either the main Caribbean Beach station or the station at neighboring Riviera Resort. Both make getting to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios so much easier, especially with strollers!! Iykyk

We recently stayed in Trinidad, and honestly, I preferred our location over some of the preferred-room areas 🫣 We were a short walk from EVERYTHING, the main Skyliner station, the feature pool and Old Port Royale—and we had a bus stop right outside our building.

The pool area is another huge win for families. The Fuentes del Morro Pool has two waterslides, a zero-entry area and a separate shipwreck-themed splash area for smaller children. Trinidad is also home to Spyglass Grill, one of only two places on Disney resort property currently serving Mickey-shaped churro waffles—and yes, that matters to me!

It’s also home to Sebastian’s! A family style meal that is so worth it, the perfect way to end your check in day is a nice meal right at your resort.

Another fun perk for summer 2026 (& maybe future summers 🤞🏽) is direct bus transportation from Caribbean Beach to Blizzard Beach. Most Disney resorts require a transfer, so this is a really convenient bonus if a water-park day is part of your plans.

Finally, Caribbean Beach is a great value for families of five because select rooms include a child-size pull-down bed. Not every Disney resort can accommodate five guests in one standard room, which makes this a strong option for larger families.

Is it big? Absolutely. But between the Skyliner, multiple bus stops, beautiful grounds, a fantastic pool and rooms that can sleep five, Caribbean Beach offers a lot of value, and I would happily stay there again and again!
